Employment Law
Ignorance is no excuse when it comes to Federal and/or State laws. This is especially true in employment law. Every supervisor/manager in an organization must be knowledgeable of laws imposed by the Federal or State governments or risk facing violations and/or litigation. This course encompasses employment laws from the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 and focuses on specific practices or laws that need to be addressed. Separate courses on the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and Sexual Harassment are also available. In training managers, our Company injects the latest employment law amendments once the Federal and/or State agencies announce them.

Interviewing Techniques

Want to find the best applicant for the position? It all begins in the interview. Ensure that
your supervisors use effective interviewing techniques and choose the best possible applicants from those interviewed. This course will take supervisors through the entire interview process, examining the skills used in conducting successful interviews. The more information you have - the better basis you will have for making a solid employment decision. It is a well established fact that most, if not all, HR problems can be alleviated with an effective interview process.

Customized Training
Do you have particular training needs which we have not mentioned? Maybe you have
issues unique to your industry which need to be addressed in a training session. A virtual library of specialized training subjects such as time management, communication skills and affirmative action are available to meet your needs.

Performance Appraisals
While we think of performance appraisals as being a method of measuring past
performance, they can also be a very important tool for motivating and encouraging employees to reach a higher level of performance. Without specific training, supervisors
may be unable to utilize performance appraisals to their fullest potential. A key part of this training is to teach how proper documentation should be developed in the event of
employer-employee disputes or to avoid employment risk.

Sexual Harassment Investigations
Some employers are prone to wanting their own staff to conduct complaints of sexual harassment. This is a good cost-saving measure since either consultants or attorneys might be engaged to conduct the investigations. However, unless the employer’s internal staff is properly trained, any cost savings could turn into more of a liability than one might expect.
It is most essential that anyone understanding such an investigation be highly trained and qualified. Our Company can train your staff in the articulate and technical procedures for handling internal sexual harassment investigations and be “on call” as a reference source when needed.

Fundamentals of Managing
In times of cost cutting, it’s important that managers are performing at top levels. This
course addresses a wide range of topics from the roles a manager plays, to handling employees with negative behavior. Sections of the course also address working effectively with other departments as well as delegating workloads and terminating employees.

Sexual Harassment Training

Sexual Harassment is a federal law that applies to employers with 15 or more employees. This obligates an employer to provide a hostile free work environment thereby lessening the possibility for sexual harassment. Our Company conducts training to help employees and managers understand what harassment is and how to prevent it.
